The S8520-32D is a high-density, cost-optimized 1U switch built on Broadcom Trident 4 silicon, supporting 400GbE, 200GbE, and 100GbE connectivity for scalable high-performance networks. Powered by PicOS® with a perpetual license, it delivers comprehensive L2/L3 features—including MLAG, BGP, and OSPF—alongside EVPN-VXLAN (in development) and lossless Ethernet capabilities such as RoCEv2, PFC, and ECN. With built-in security and five years of hardware and software support, it ensures reliable operation in mission-critical environments. Designed for high port-density Campus Core/Edge deployments, the S8520-32D also excels in multi–data center interconnects, AI/HPC clusters, and large-scale Spine/Leaf backbones. The switch is managed by the AmpCon-Campus management platform (expected in V3.0), enabling automated Day 0–Day 2+ operations such as ZTP, topology discovery, and workflow automation to simplify management and enhance visibility.
