Description
The HPE Aruba Compatible 40GBASE SWDM4 Bi-Directional QSFP+Transceiver is designed for use in 40 Gigabit Ethernet links over duplex multimode fiber (MMF). This transceiver is compliant with the QSFP+ MSA and IEEE 802.3ba XLPPI electrical interface. The SWDM4 transceiver enables reuse of its existing 10G duplex MMF infrastructure for migration to 40G with a path toward 100G. Digital diagnostics functions are available via an I2C interface, as specified by the QSFP+ MSA, to allow access to real-time operating parameters. It features a bi-directional design with the Tx port transmitting 40G data over four separate wavelengths (850nm, 880nm, 910nm, and 940nm).
