Description
The UMC-GA1ST1T-MM Mini Gigabit Ethernet Media Converter bridges 100/1000Base-X fiber to 10/100/1000Base-T copper networks, enabling fiber extension up to 550 meters. The 1U height, 12-slot media converter rack chassis, specifically designed to accommodate chassis-based mini media converters, offers a flexible solution for ISP infrastructure and small office deployments. The UMC-GA1ST1T-MM integrates LED indicators (Power, Link, Activity, Speed) for convenient status monitoring and maintenance, helping reduce network downtime. With built-in Link Fault Pass-Through (LFP) technology, the UMC-GA1ST1T-MM enhances troubleshooting efficiency and network reliability. It also automatically detects Ethernet port speeds and performs rate conversion when Ethernet speeds differ between two ports. Connect CAT5/5e/6 cables to multimode fiber to extend the distance of existing networks, prolong the lifespan of non-fiber devices, or increase the distance between two devices.
