The UMC-1ST1T-MM unmanaged Ethernet media converter bridges 1000Base-X fiber to 10/100/1000Base-T copper networks, enabling fiber extension up to 550 meters. The 2.4U height, 15-slot media converter rack enclosure, specifically designed to accommodate chassis-based media converters, offers a flexible solution for ISP infrastructure and small office deployments. Integrated LED indicators (Power, Link, Activity, Speed) facilitate user status monitoring and maintenance, reducing network downtime. With built-in Link Fault Pass-Through (LFP) technology, the UMC-1ST1T-MM enhances troubleshooting efficiency and network reliability. It also automatically detects Ethernet port speeds and performs rate conversion when speeds differ between ports. Connect CAT5/5e/6 cables to multimode fiber to extend existing network distances, prolong the lifespan of non-fiber devices, or increase the distance between two devices.
